The girls' high school took part in a 10k walk last Wednesday to raise money for a local charity.
Students and staff took part in the sponsored walk starting from the school then followed the canal, into the woods and then had their lunch at Greatwood Community Primary School.
They finished their journey by passing through the canal once again and into Aireville Park, which then took them back to the school.
The walk was to raise money for The Be More Laura Foundation.
This foundation was set up in memory of former Skipton Girls' High School pupil, Laura Nuttall, who passed away in 2023 after bravely facing glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer.
The foundation raises awareness of brain tumour symptoms and the importance of early diagnosis.
It also funds pioneering research into treatments, including clinical trials like ASTROCRAT at the University of Leeds and supports families and patients affected by brain cancer, offering hope and practical help.

The walk was also in aid of raising money for the creation of a Nurture Room within H1.
This room would aim to be a calm, supportive environment where students can go to feel safe, reflect, and receive emotional support.
This space will promote mental well-being, resilience, and inclusion, helping every student thrive both emotionally and academically.
This initiative embodies the school's commitment to Care, providing a space where students are nurtured and supported.
