Skipton Town Council have this year taken over the organising of the annual Skipton Gala, which is taking place this Saturday, 14 June.
The Gala is over 100 years old and as usual the procession will set off from Westmoreland Street at 1pm, heading through town via the High Street, then down Gargrave Road ending at Aireville Park for an afternoon full of fun, games & entertainment, along with vintage cars & tractors and many charity and community stalls.
In the arena, hosted by Your Skipton's Alex Cann, there will be entertainment from Fusion Xtreme, Craven Gymnastics, Unique Cheer and Dance, and Sheldon's Performing Arts.
Plus the headline act for 2025 is Pedal Power vs Parkour – a thrilling fusion of stunt cycling and free-running - the only show of its kind in the UK. You'll have two chances to catch this spectacular performance as they take the stage twice throughout the afternoon.
A tug-of-war is scheduled to end the afternoon arena line-up.

The Giant Funfair is open Friday from 6pm and Saturday from 12pm, with a firework display in the evening.
