The popular Joyful Deli bar and restaurant near Addingham says it is closed until further notice after a major fire in the early hours of Monday.
In a post on social media, The Joyful Deli wrote: "We are closed due to a devastating fire until further notice. Thank you all for all of your support. More information to follow x"
A 'Go Fund Me' fundraising page has been set up to support owners Jilly and Mike, who have been running the cafe and deli for the past five years, and live on site with their family.
The fundraising page says that the fire broke out around 1am on Monday 9th June, destroying the main seating area, the deli, bar and the barn.
It added: "Thankfully, everyone is safe. But the emotional and financial toll is heavy, and they now face the unimaginable task of rebuilding their dream from the ground up."
The GoFundMe appeal aims to raise £10,000 to help with repair and restoration work, replacing lost furniture, equipment and stocks and covering losses while the business is closed. It also seeks funding for a temporary coffee station and bar so that the cafe can serve takeaway drinks and accommodate outdoor guests while refurbishment takes place.
It's understood the barn building is covered by insurance but the contents could not be insured because the site is on a floodplain.
We are closed due to a devastating fire until further notice. Thank you all for all of your support. More information to follow x
