Skipton Little Theatre featuring comedy, folk rock tributes and historical drama this month

Comedy, Fleetwood Mac tribute and historical drama is coming to Skipton Little Theatre this October

Skipton Little Theatre, on Clifford Street, is featuring three headline events this October

Love, Lies & The Doctor’s Dilemma (Comedy) - 7th to 11th October:
Joan Scheller, eager to keep her romance with Sandy secret from her overbearing sister-in-law Olivia—a flamboyant former film star—pretends Sandy is her psychiatrist.
As Joan’s white lie spirals out of control, the household is plunged into chaos with Olivia seeking relationship advice, a drama-prone neighbour, a troubled enforcer, and Joan’s gambling son all eager to confide in the “doctor.”
Amidst the resulting mayhem, Joan and Sandy’s relationship is pushed to its limits by her tangled web of deception.

Fleetwood Shack (Concert) - 17th & 18th October:
Prepare to be transported on a remarkable musical journey as FLEETWOOD SHACK delivers an extraordinary performance, featuring an impressive repertoire of the biggest and most beloved Fleetwood Mac hits.
From the anthemic “Don’t Stop” to the soulful “Go Your Own Way,” the infectious “Little Lies,” the enchanting “Everywhere,” the haunting “Landslide,” the powerful “The Chain,” and many more, their show guarantees to immerse you in a captivating and nostalgic experience.

King Harold’s Mother (Drama) - 24th October:
A mother who lost four sons in 1066.
Three sons killed at the Battle of Hastings, one son branded a traitor. A first born lost on foreign soil.
But these are times of turmoil, where crowns on the head go with swords in the hand. And this mother has lost everything.
Two years later, in Exeter, King Harold’s Mother makes her last stand against the might of the new king, William the Bastard.
She is also forced to face the consequences of her own actions to accept the overwhelming of the Conqueror.
Nothing will ever be the same again. Is nothing all she is left with? Is nothing better than this?

Thisone woman performance brings the life and thoughts of Danish Gytha to a modern audience.

The performance will be followed by a question and answer session with Heather Leech who will be performing the part of Gytha.

Heather Leech, who wrote and directed the piece, is returning after the great success of her national tour with her previous play ‘Guy Fawke’s Mother’ which she performed at the Little Theatre in 2024.
