Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to announce that its Anaesthetic team have secured credit from the Royal College of Anaesthesia (RCoA) in recognition of their commitment to patient safety and excellence of care.
The Anaesthesia Clinical Services Accreditation (ACSA), awarded by the RCoA, supports quality improvement across Anaesthesia services, encouraging high standards in patient experience, patient safety and clinical leadership.
To mark the achievement, colleagues from the Anaesthetic team were joined by RCoA Council member, Dr Sunil Kumar, earlier this month where he presented the accreditation plaque.
Dr Sunil Kumar, from the Royal College of Anaesthetists, comments:
“It was an honour to present the ACSA accreditation plaque to the anaesthetic department at Airedale General Hospital on behalf of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. This achievement highlights the department’s commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centred care, and continuous improvement.
He added,
Congratulations to Dr Tamsin Gregory, Dr Julian Hood, Dr Julie O’Riordan, and the entire team for their outstanding dedication. The proactive approach to staff well-being and quality care truly sets a benchmark for others.”
CEO of Airedale, Foluke Ajayi, said,
“Congratulations to all involved in securing the reaccreditation and for all their hard work and perseverance. It demonstrates our commitment to continuing to and maintaining the very highest quality of care for our patients.”
