A passionate team of care professionals haves successfully taken on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge raising over £1,000 for Dementia Adventure.
The team from Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley & Skipton took on the challenge on Sunday, 25 May 2025, tackling the demanding 24-mile route across Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough.
Dementia Adventure is a UK charity that helps people living with dementia enjoy the benefits of nature by providing supported holidays, outdoor activities, and training to help people with dementia live more active, connected lives.
The Right at Home group included Managing Director, Paresh Mistry, Registered Manager Samuel Harrop, Senior CareGiver Hayley Daniels and CareGiver Elitsa Stoyanova.
Despite the physically challenging terrain and changeable weather, Paresh, Samuel, and Elitsa successfully completed all three peaks in under 12 hours. Hayley, taking part in her first-ever trekking experience, impressively completed two peaks, showing tremendous determination and spirit.
MD Paresh Mistry said he was so proud of what the team has achieved:
“The challenge was tough, but knowing it was for such a meaningful cause kept us all going. Dementia Adventure does incredible work, and we’re thrilled to have surpassed our fundraising target.”
There’s still time to donate and help make an even bigger impact. Contributions can be made at: https://www.justgiving.com/page/rightathomeilkleykeighleyskipton, with all proceeds will go directly to Dementia Adventure.
