Grace Binns from Skipton has won 'Young Apprentice of the Year' award at the recent Yorkshire Young Professional Awards.
The award ecognises a young apprentice/ trainee in any sector and judges will be looking for the individual who has shown the greatest achievement, contribution to their employer and potential.
Grace Binns a Digital marketing apprentice at Craven College in Skipton.
She is currently a social media executive at The Yorkshire Food Guide.
Grace impressed the judging panel for her content strategies and impressive social media marketing.
Within 6 months of her placement she received a promotion as a social media executive.
Grace said to Craven College after winning her award:
"I think that after I have completed my apprenticeship, I will be incredibly proud of the 18 months of hard work I have put into it. I
"It’s made me realise that you should always believe that you can achieve anything you’d like to do.
"I’d like to grow within the company at the Yorkshire Food Guide even further in my future career."
She is nearing the end of her apprenticeship and she told the college about her decision to do an apprenticeship rather than university:
"I felt that in sixth form, university was heavily influenced compared to apprenticeships.
"However, I definitely think it was the right choice. I feel as though I have grown so much knowledge and developed as a person, just by taking this step."
