A clothing swap evening is set to take place in Skipton next month.
Spring Swish is being organised by The Skipton Academy PTA & Friends in partnership with Martin House Children’s Hospice. The event will be held at The Skipton Academy Hall on Friday, 20 March from 6.00 pm to 9.00pm. Organisers say the evening is designed to be a relaxed and social way for people in Skipton and the surrounding area to update their wardrobes in a more sustainable way. Those attending are invited to bring up to five good-quality items of clothing. Each item will be exchanged for a token, which can then be used to choose something new to take home. As well as the clothing swap itself, the evening will include a fashion show and a café and bar, creating a community-focused atmosphere. Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Martin House Children’s Hospice, which provides care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. Tickets are priced at £7 for adults and £5 for under-16s. They can be booked online at www.pta-events.co.uk/skipton
