A housebuilder says strong sales at one of its Skipton developments reflect the town's continued popularity with homebuyers.
Bellway says 75% of the 188 homes at its Clifford Gardens development, off Carleton Road, have now been sold, with almost 60% of the properties occupied.
The developer says the pace of sales highlights Skipton's appeal to a wide range of buyers, from first-time purchasers to families and those looking to downsize.
Melanie Smith, Sales Director at Bellway Homes Yorkshire, said:
"Reaching 75 per cent sold in such a rapid time not only demonstrates the quality and mix of houses being built and marketed at Clifford Gardens, but shows that Skipton, which was named the UK's happiest place to live by Rightmove in 2025, really does have all-round buyer appeal.
"And it's easy to see why – with its great array of local shops, restaurants and bars; excellent schools; a bustling town centre, complete with incredible markets; and its position as the Gateway to the Dales and all that entails."
Clifford Gardens includes a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes. Current prices range from £244,995 for a two-bedroom property to £414,995 for a four-bedroom detached home.
Bellway says the variety of homes has been designed to cater for different stages of life, from first-time buyers through to growing families and downsizers.
The housebuilder also highlighted its five-star rating from the Home Builders Federation, based on customer feedback covering build quality, service and aftercare.
