North Yorkshire Police will take centre stage in a new television series launching on Monday (5th October).
Biker Cops: Elite Squad One starts at 8pm on Channel 5 and will run for eight weeks before Christmas.
The series follows Roads Policing officers as they patrol York and North Yorkshire, respond to incidents and target criminals using the county’s road network.
Alongside officers on motorbikes, camera crews have joined teams in roads policing cars and filmed behind the scenes in the Force Control Room, showing how incidents are managed and officers deployed.

Crews have also followed teams during major policing operations, capturing how officers and staff work together across the county.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said:
“Opening our doors to documentary crews gives us an opportunity to show the reality of modern policing and the work that often happens out of public view.
“It allows people to see the decisions we make and the teamwork, professionalism and commitment that goes into keeping York and North Yorkshire safe every day.”
The programme will also introduce viewers to the people behind the uniform, including officers Paddy and Joe.

The spokesperson added:
“Most importantly, it gives you the chance to get to know some of the people behind the uniform like Paddy and Joe who make the series.”
The force will share more about the officers and stories featured through its social media channels over the coming weeks.
