New Click and Collect lockers have been officially launched at Morrisons in Skipton.
The supermarket has introduced the lockers to make collecting online grocery orders quicker and more convenient for customers. Skipton Mayor Winston Feather visited the store to cut the ribbon and officially open the new facility. Customers can place their grocery order online as usual before choosing a collection time and receiving a code to access the lockers. The lockers are designed to separately store general groceries, chilled products and frozen food, with orders bagged and ready for customers when they arrive. The store marked the launch by giving free ice creams from Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream to the first 60 customers. Staff also provided cake and balloons as part of the celebrations. Morrisons Skipton said the new lockers have been introduced to help make the Click and Collect shopping experience quicker and easier for local customers.
