Magpie owner set to retire next month

Magpie on Albion Square.

The owner of the antique and collectibles shop, Magpie 2 for joy's owner will be leaving next month.

Helen from Magpie shared the news via social media yesterday saying:

"I thank you all for your patronage and support but it’s time to retire.

"I hope to see you all before I leave at the end of August"

She shared the news after 7 years of owning the shop located on Albion Square in Skipton.

Helen took on the shop after her friend passed away and continued her legacy. 

Since then she has introduced workshops, galleries, Annie Sloan paint and much more.

Helen recently appeared on the first epsiode Your Skipton and Skipton BID's podcast, The Skipton Scene podcast where she shared how she came to own the shop and why she loves it:

Helen shared she will officially retire at the end of August but before her departure will introduce new stock.

It has not yet been confirmed whether the shop will continue under new management.
