Sir Julian Smith, Conservative MP of Skipton and Ripon is backing the 'Yorkshire Ready Together' project which aims to strengthen the preparation of the emergency services.
The initiative was launched by four Local Resilience Forums covering Yorkshire and the Humber.
The Yorkshire Ready Together project introduces a free AI tool that provides real-time, two-way emergency preparedness advice, accessible online and via mobile messaging.
It is designed to help everyone from businesses to individuals better prepare for potential emergencies including power outages, cyber security threats, severe weather events, flooding, major accidents, pandemics and more.
Commenting, Julian said,
“In an unpredictable world, being prepared for emergencies is essential. The Yorkshire Ready Together project is a fantastic resource that equips communities with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe and resilient.
He added,
I encourage everyone in our area, from individuals to community groups to businesses, to engage with this tool and make the most of its features.”
The Yorkshire Ready Together tool requires no app downloads or registrations.
