Gargrave Bowling Club has raised £1,652 in support of Skipton Step into Action.
The money raised followed their recent Ladies Day event for the Ladies Championship of Scratch and Pethybridge Cup.
During the presentation, club member Dave Garnett handed over the cheque to representatives from the Skipton-based community organisation, which provides support to individuals and families across the area.
The donation was made possible through the efforts of Martyn Cox and fellow members of Gargrave Bowling Club, who organised fundraising activities around the event.
Skipton Step into Action said the money will go towards continuing its work to connect people with local services, provide wellbeing support, and promote community engagement.
A spokesperson from the charity said:
“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at Gargrave Bowling Club for their generosity and hard work.
"The money raised will help us to keep supporting local residents who need a helping hand.
"It’s wonderful to see such community spirit in action.”
The event, which took place a couple of weeks ago, was also supported by Beyondly, whose funding helps maintain Skipton Step into Action’s key worker role.
The Ladies Championship day combined sport, social connection, and fundraising, bringing together club members and local supporters for an afternoon of competition and community spirit.
