Visitors heading to Burnsall this summer are being urged to plan their journeys carefully following the closure of the village's main car park.
The closure of Burnsall Park car park, following a decision by the landowner, has significantly reduced parking availability in the popular Yorkshire Dales village.
Officials are advising people to consider visiting alternative locations, particularly during weekends and periods of warm weather when visitor numbers are expected to be higher.
Motorists travelling to Burnsall are being reminded to park legally and considerately, ensuring roads, junctions and access routes remain clear for residents, businesses and emergency services.
Visitors are also being encouraged to take litter home, respect the local community and countryside, and avoid lighting barbecues or open fires.
Enforcement officers, North Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Dales National Park Rangers will be carrying out patrols in the area throughout the summer to help keep roads clear and respond to irresponsible parking.
The advice comes as the Yorkshire Dales prepares for an increase in visitors during the summer months.
