Skipton Civic Society are set to host a series of free illustrated talks at Craven Arts House, as part of the TRACES exhibition of Skipton's heritage.
Craven Arts house are hosting the exhibition, looking for new, original artwork which responds to the heritage of Skipton’s architecture.
The exhibition opens to the public on 9th October and runs until 16th November.
Proposed artworks will be judged on the following criteria:
- Relevance to Skipton’s history and architecture
- The quality of your supporting artwork (as seen on your website or social media
To complement the TRACES Exhibition, Skipton Civic Society will host a series of free illustrated talks at Craven Arts House, every Wednesday at 12:30pm throughout the exhibition.
Attendees can discover the hidden dates and names etched into Skipton’s architecture from the 16th to 20th centuries.
Talks will be hosted by The Civic Society's Sue Wrathmell.
The public are invited to bring their lunch, settle in, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while discovering fascinating insights into Skipton’s built and natural heritage.
