Skipton Pride have announced a guest speaker to be added to their line-up.
Channel 4's, Shakeel Kimotho will be a guest speaker at the Pride event on 8th August.
Shakeel Kimotho is known for her role in the Channel 4 drama, Tip Toe.
Her character Hanna Ayomide is a mixed-heritage trans woman working as part of the bar team at the Manchester Canal Street gay bar, Spit & Polish.
Shakeel works alongside award-winning co-stars, Alan Cumming and David Morrissey.
The show highlights how anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and online radicalisation slowly return nto everyday modern life.
Skipton Pride shared the announcement via Facebook.
The pride event will take place Saturday 8th August at Coach Street Car Park.
