The West Yorkshire-based cash-plan provider donated the money last week.
The donation has been made to the Airedale Hospital and Community Charity, which supports projects and services linked to Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
The charity says the funding will help to support initiatives that sit outside standard NHS provision.
Jodie Hearnshaw, Charity Manager at Airedale Hospital and Community Charity, welcomed the donation.
She said:
“We want to say a huge thank you to Sovereign for this donation, which enables us to fund projects that are over and above NHS provision.
"This means that we can continue to provide the added extras that really make a huge difference to patient care, employee well-being and community services for the Airedale community.”
Deborah Fox, Deputy Chief Nurse at Airedale Hospital, said:
“We are extremely thankful for this generous donation, some of which will go towards enhancing nurse training, as well as providing extra equipment for patient treatment.”
Sovereign Health Care said it was pleased to continue its long-standing relationship with the hospital.
Chief Executive Neil McCallum said:
“We’re delighted our donation will help to support nurse training and the provision of additional equipment to the Trust – both of which will make a huge difference to patient care.”
