Addingham Beer Festival is returning this weekend with more than 40 beers and ciders alongside live music, food and the Big Village Quiz.
The popular festival takes place on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October, with three sessions taking place across the two days. This year's drinks line-up includes 16 cask beers and 10 keg beers, as well as seven ciders, five gins, five rums and six wines. A selection of low and alcohol-free options will also be available, including Guinness, cider and lager. The festival gets underway from 6pm until 11.30pm on Friday, when food will be provided by The Lord Addingham. It returns from 1pm until 5pm on Saturday, with the Big Village Quiz getting underway at 1pm. The final session runs from 6pm until 11.30pm on Saturday and will feature live music from Charlie Aky, with food provided by The Swan. Tickets cost £15 per session and include entry, a festival glass, programme and two free pints. Further drinks can be purchased using tokens, priced at £2.50 per half pint. The event has been running since 2011 and raises money for local groups, charities and good causes. Organisers say the festival has generated just under £100,000 for the local community since it began. A spokesperson for Addingham Beer Festival said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to the festival this weekend. "It’s a great opportunity to enjoy some fantastic drinks, good food and live entertainment, but importantly, it’s also about raising money for local groups, charities and good causes. “Since we started in 2011, we’ve raised just under £100,000, which is something everyone involved in the festival is incredibly proud of. Every ticket bought and every drink enjoyed helps us continue supporting organisations in our local community. “We’ve got a fantastic selection of drinks this year, the Big Village Quiz on Saturday afternoon and Charlie Aky playing on Saturday night, so there’s plenty to look forward to. “The festival is run by volunteers and relies on the fantastic support we receive from the local community. We’re looking forward to another brilliant weekend in Addingham.” Tickets are available in advance from The Swan, Addingham Co-op and through the Addingham Beer Festival website.
