Alim Beisembayev won First Prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition in 2021 and gained widespread recognition at the BBC Proms in 2023, stepping in at two days’ notice to perform Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto with Sinfonia of London.

Recipient of the Critics’ Circle Young Artist Award 2024, he has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall and the Concertgebouw and records for Warner Classics.

We will be continuing our monthly Listening Club this season where we meet (mostly online) before each concert and chat about a piece of music from the forthcoming gig – a bit like a book club. Last year in five of the six Listening Clubs the performers joined as well to chat with us and provide their personal perspective.
