Join Yorkshire-based artist, John Harrison, for a relaxed and inspiring workshop exploring the expressive technique of line and wash sketching.

The day begins with an introduction to John’s distinctive style, combining ink drawing with fluid watercolour washes.
John will then guide you through warm-up exercises using ink and loose, wet-in-wet washes, followed by a quick demonstration to inspire your own work.
After a break for lunch, you’ll begin work on a full-sized painting using your sketches and references from the morning.
Throughout the day, John will be on hand to offer friendly guidance, practical tips and personal feedback in his signature informal and encouraging style.
What to bring:
Watercolour paints and brushes, a sketchbook (any size), pencils, and a phone or camera for reference photos. All levels welcome!
