A Yorkshire business has raised more than £1,700 after taking on a 15-mile walking challenge in aid of a Skipton-based children's charity.
Staff from Don Whitley Scientific (DWS) completed the 15.5-mile “Locks to Leeds” challenge on Saturday (12th September) to raise money for The Principle Trust Children's Charity.
The team set off from the company's headquarters in Bingley and followed the Leeds and Liverpool Canal before finishing at Granary Wharf in Leeds.
Employees raised £1,760, which will help The Principle Trust provide free respite breaks to children and their families across Yorkshire.
The Skipton-based charity supports children facing a range of challenges, including trauma, abuse, poverty, serious illness and disabilities.
DWS designed the challenge to be inclusive, with some employees walking the entire 15.5-mile route while others joined for shorter sections.
The Principle Trust said the amount raised could fund week-long respite breaks for three children facing adversity alongside their families.

The Principle Trust was founded by businessman Mike Davies in 2011 and provides free respite holidays for disadvantaged, disabled and poorly children and their families.
