What's on at Skipton Town Hall this month?

As we head into a new year, here's a quick look at what's going on at Skipton Town Hall this January.

  • Monday 12th January 10am-12pm - Home Education: Skeletons
    Explore fascinating world of bones and skeletons.
    In this workshop you’ll learn the key bones of the vertebrate skeleton and see how they are adapted to the different ecologies of a range of creatures.
    This workshop will cover aspects of biology, osteology, and archaeo-zoology.
    Suitable for 7 year olds and older. All children must be accompanied by an adult. £5 per child.
     
  • From 17th April - Belonging
    Belonging showcases artwork by participants from Pioneer Project’s Creative Health programmes, including people living with long-term mental ill health, disabilities, and memory loss.
    Through a range of creative practices, the exhibition explores how creativity fosters connection, expression, and a sense of belonging.
     
  • Friday 23rd January 7:30pm - Jim Smith: Prime Cuts
    Jim Smith is one of Scotland’s best-loved farming comedians, blending sharp stand-up with real-life stories from his working farm in Perthshire.
    A sell-out touring act, BBC Radio 4 star (Me and the Farmer), and familiar face from Scot Squad, Jim brings his warm, down-to-earth humour back to the stage with a new show packed with highlights and fresh material.

  • Tuesday 27th January 2pm-3pm - Skipton Music Annual Schools Concert
    Following the successful revival of their Annual Schools Concert series, which has welcomed over 150 pupils to Skipton Town Hall in the past three years, Skipton Music is delighted to announce its Schools Concert for 2026. 
     
  • Tuesday 27th January 7:30pm - Skipton Music Presents: Londinium Consort
    Londinium Consort, an emerging London-based ensemble of former conservatoire students, explores the intersection of old and new music.
    Winners of the 2024 New Elizabethan Award, they made their Wigmore Hall debut in February 2025 and released their first album, Crossing Paths, in 2025 with support from the Continuo Foundation.
     
  • Friday 30th January 7:30pm - Oh What A Night!
    Combines infectious personalities, amazing vocals, slick harmonies and even slicker dance moves to deliver a show full of energy and nostalgia which always leaves audiences wanting more.
    Don’t miss the ultimate celebration of one of the world’s greatest Rock & Roll bands!
    Takes you back in time on a musical journey through the incredible career of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons.
