Skipton Vintage Supply set to open this weekend

Skipton Vintage Supply will open on Sheep Street this weekend.

A new vintage clothing shop is set to open its doors in Skipton this weekend, with giveaways planned for its first customers.

Skipton Vintage Supply will officially open at 34 Sheep Street on Saturday (26th September), selling a range of vintage and pre-loved clothing, branded casual wear and accessories for adults and children.

The first five customers through the door will each receive a free tote bag and £10 of store credit to spend.

The new independent shop will stock brands including Carhartt, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Adidas, Levi's and The North Face, alongside genuine vintage pieces dating from the 1960s through to the early 2000s.

Owner Ed Harrison, who has lived in Skipton for several years, previously said the idea for Skipton Vintage Supply came after spotting what he felt was a gap in the town's retail offering.

He said:

“We have a fantastic high street and a thriving independent shopping scene, but if you're a man looking for a decent pair of jeans, shorts, shirt or jacket, there are very few options beyond Next, Sports Direct or the supermarkets.

“Likewise, if parents want good-quality branded clothing for their children without paying full retail prices, they're often forced to shop online or travel to Leeds, Bradford or beyond.”

New stock will arrive each week, with the shop combining modern branded clothing with vintage fashion and accessories.

It will also feature the 'Yorkshire Tee Machine', a restored capsule machine offering customers the chance to pick up a mystery T-shirt.

Some capsules will contain vintage or branded clothing, while others will include prizes such as vouchers and discounts.

Ed said:

“It's designed to bring a bit of fun to the shopping experience and hopefully become something people associate with visiting Skipton Vintage Supply.”

The business will also sell online through marketplaces and live shopping streams alongside its new Sheep Street store.
