Fisher Medical Centre has announced it will sponsor the Great Skipton Santa Fun Run for a second consecutive year.
The Skipton medical centre will support the popular festive event when it returns to the town on Sunday 29th November.
Staff will also be getting involved themselves, with members of the team volunteering and taking part in the run.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Skipton, the Great Skipton Santa Fun Run has become one of the town's biggest annual festive events.
Thousands of people dressed as Santa take to the streets each year, with the event starting and finishing on Skipton High Street.
The main route covers around 5km and takes participants through the town, Aireville Park and Skipton Woods.
A shorter route of around 3km is also available, making the event accessible to walkers and wheelchair users.
The first Skipton Santa Fun Run was held in 2010 and attracted around 400 participants.
It has since grown significantly, with a record 2,500 people taking part in 2025.
Last year's event raised more than £73,000 through entry fees, sponsorship, donations and individual fundraising.
Money raised by the event supports Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, alongside local charities and Rotary causes.
Organisers said:
“A huge thank you to Fisher Medical Centre for sponsoring the Skipton Santa Fun Run for a second year.
“Not only are they supporting the event, but they’ll also be volunteering on the day and taking part in the race.
“We really appreciate your continued support, thank you so much.”
The 2026 event will be the 17th Great Skipton Santa Fun Run and will get underway from Skipton High Street at 11am.
It traditionally takes place on the same day as Skipton's Christmas lights switch-on, bringing thousands of people into the town centre for the start of the festive season.
Registration for this year's Santa Fun Run is now open.
