The Skipton Gala returns on Saturday 13th June.

The Gala will return next weekend to Aireville Park.

The day kicks off with the Gala Procession, featuring around 25 decorated wagons and walking groups, alongside samba bands, schools, community organisations and local groups from across the area.

This year's theme "Around the World" will feature imaginative costumes, decorations and performances.

The procession will set off from Westmoreland Street at 1pm, making its way through Skipton town centre before arriving at the gala field in Aireville Park.

To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, a number of roads along the procession route will be temporarily closed between 12.45pm and 2pm.

Organisers would like to thank residents, businesses and motorists for their patience and support during this time.

The celebrations will conclude with a spectacular firework display, providing a fitting finale to what promises to be another memorable Skipton Gala.

A spokesperson for Skipton Town Council said:

"Skipton Gala is one of the town's most cherished traditions, bringing together local communities, organisations, schools and families for a day of celebration and entertainment.

This year's 'Around the World' theme promises a fantastic spectacle in the procession, and we are especially looking forward to crowning our 2026 Gala Queen, Amelie Beilby, alongside her attendants Amber Robson and Darcie Stanley.

We are delighted to welcome thousands of visitors to Aireville Park and would like to thank all of the volunteers, participants, sponsors and supporters who help make the event possible."
