The Skipton Pride charity team share that their annual event will return to the town centre in August following another successful day in 2025.
This year it will be held on Saturday, August 8th, rather than on a Sunday following feedback from both attendees and businesses.
The 2026 Pride will be located on the Canal Basin and in the Coach Street Car Park in Skipton town centre.
Last year’s event received fantastic feedback from those that were in attendance, with one stating it was “the best day that Skipton has ever had.”
Edwin Rothwell, Chair of Skipton Pride, said:
“We’re so excited to announce that the Skipton Pride event will return later this year – but this time on a Saturday!
“The 2025 event was a fantastic, unique cultural celebration held right in the heart of Skipton on the High Street.
“We were delighted to bring the joy of Pride to a multi-generational audience from a mix of different backgrounds - and we were blown away by the positive feedback and responses we received.
“Planning is now well underway to make this year’s Pride event even bigger and better and we can’t wait to see you all again in August.”
Figures collected both after and during the 2025 event show that 90% of attendees rated their experience at the Skipton Pride event at 4 or above out of a possible 5, while 94% said it felt both inclusive and welcoming for all.
A further 89% said that they felt that Skipton Pride 2025 was effective in mixing people from different backgrounds.
The Skipton Pride event brings the town together with a strong team effort from the charitable organisation itself, along with volunteers, sponsors, stall holders, community groups, infrastructure providers, performers and local authorities.
In 2025, more than 70 partners were involved in the planning, organisation and delivery of Skipton Pride.
A fundraiser is set to be held during Pride Month in June, featuring an unforgettable evening cruise with Skipton Boat Trips as they take the party onto the water with a tribute to the ‘Queen of Country’ – Shania Twain!

Skipton Pride is also hosting a lottery throughout the year, which supporters can play for just £1 per week to help to fund the charity’s important work in the town.
If you are already signed up to volunteer at Skipton Pride 2026, or would like to get involved or find out more information, a ‘Volunteer Social’ is set to be held at Hearts Coffee on Swadford Street on Thursday, April 16th.
