Police in Skipton are appealing for information following a break in at The Paper Shop on Sun Moor Drive in the town this weekend.
It happened between 2.45am and 3.30am on Saturday morning (20th September 2025).
The suspect, believed to have been wearing a grey tracksuit and face covering, entered the property and left with some cash as well as £6,000 worth of tobacco and cigarette products.
Officers are appealing for any CCTV footage that may help identify the suspect(s) and any vehicles that were involved in the burglary.
Streets of particular interest include: Shortbank Road, Little Brook, Hurrs Road, Moorview Way and Greatwood Avenue.
They are also asking for members of the public in the local area to be vigilant and report any advertisements or sales of cheap tobacco and cigarette products.
In a social media post on Saturday, The Paper Shop said:
"We are sorry to say The Paper Shop has been burgled overnight. We are all safe. The police have all our CCTV and are investigating. We appeal to the community to contact the police if their door cameras may have caught this suspect walking the streets around Shortbank Road or Ermysted Street with a huge black/green sack.
"If you recognise this suspect or the tattoo on his right hand we appeal to you to contact the Skipton Police immediately."
