The town council took to Facebook to announce that the applications for the crown were open.
The selection evening will take place at Alexander’s from 5pm on Thursday the 12th of March 2026.
Applications must be submitted by 5pm on Monday the 2nd of March 2026.
The Gala organisers said:
"This is a fantastic opportunity to represent Skipton, not just at our own gala but at other public events throughout the year."
Not only will the Queen/King be picked but applications for Attendants and Pageboys are open to join the Royal Gala party which can be found here.
The Queen/King will be paraded through the procession at the Gala, and the Gala will take place Saturday 13th June.
The organisers are also taking applications for vendors for the event.
