The team at Samaritans of Pendle, Burnley, Craven & Rossendale are bringing back Brew Monday to encourage people to reach out and seek support.
Brew Monday, also known as Brew Monday not Blue Monday is all about reminding people there is always time to catch up with loved ones because blue days are not just Mondays.
The team are visiting train stations across the country to hand out brews and biscuits.
Today, Samaritans visited Skipton train station and are inviting people to come and have a chat with them.
A spokesperson for the team said this on X (formerly Twitter):
"We’re out at #Skipton #TrainStation this morning handing out biscuits and brews.
"#BrewMonday is the way forward, not #BlueMonday
"Come see us, have a chat, or call us any time day or night on 116 123"
You can host your own Brew Monday event, virtually or in person, however you want.
You could organise a tea party and raise money for Samaritans, host an online Brew Monday at work, or even do something as simple as picking up the phone and checking in with someone you care about.
If you need help with your Brew Monday fundraising event, please get in touch at community&events@samaritans.org
We’d love to hear about how you’re fundraising for Samaritans on Brew Monday!
