Yorkshire Dechen Summer Event 2025
The Yorkshire Buddhist community have organised a very special day for everyone, for your family and friends, to make our way to Black Pots farm on Saturday 5th July 2025.
As Buddhas advice continues to take root and be taken to heart in the lives of ordinary people, our day together means we can leave behind the theories of Buddhism and in a supportive, safe and welcoming environment directly encounter the practice of Lojong” or to use another term (Mind training) and the results of this splendid accessible practice.
Of course our day isn't long enough for a very detailed appreciation of this practice but its long enough for us to touch the essence of it and take that back with us into what are our different everyday situations and confidently enjoy the process as it continues to unfold.
Keith and Jane from Ilkley are our hosts for this day at their home” Black Pots Farm” high on Ilkley Moor with its lovely views and their warm hospitality.
Our Lojong facilitator.
Jonathan has for some time been guiding people in how to connect with and how to use Lojong in everyday life situations and to quickly appreciate the benefits of Lojong. There is no such thing as a stupid question as we then have clarity and can teach it back to ourselves as we go deeper into the Lojong.
So this means anyone can attend this event.

Arrival and settling in from 10.00am onwards for a 10.30am start.
There is no facility fee but donations for the new prayer wheels for Yorkshire will be much appreciated.
There is no formal booking process but just let Keith know you are coming is helpful of course.
As always at Black Pots, the bring food to share request always works a treat.
